Gloss coating is a varnish, a very glossy, shiny, protective coating that’s applied to the top layer of the business cards and dried using ultraviolet light. When used on rich colors, like blues, reds, and blacks, the result is an almost wet, lacquered appearance on the custom design gloss business cards. Note: Before the final gloss coat is applied, an initial aqueous coating is first applied. Aqueous is a protective coating that helps with the drying process when printing and also provides added durability. You have the option of adding a glossy finish to both sides or just the front side of the business cards.
